Samurai were much better than the pitiful knights. True the knight's

armor was more protective but when they were in deep trouble they would simply cower behind the heavy armor. Samurai on the other hand had lighter armor and were quicker in it too. In addition, the samurai's sword, or katana,was much lighter and easier to swing and cut cleanly. Also, samurai's training would usually begin at age 3 whereas a knights training began at only 10. As part of their training, samurai had to learn how to meditate and do the tea ceremony. This allowed the samurai to just calm down in battle, so they can perform at their best ability. It was much easier for knights to become stressed and fearful in a difficult fight. Another reason why the samurai are better is that they preserve their honor more than the knights. If the samurai were to do something dishonorable, they would commit a suicidal ceremony called seppu ku. However it

was rare for the samurai to commit a dishonorable act. All in all samurai were better

than knights!
