I learned that the romans started as a small town and later owned the biggest empire ever. With the help of Augustus, Rome was able to to have a strong government and a strong period of piece known as the pax romana.

He did give romans peace. Although the counsel thought that Ceasar was becoming too powerful and they killed him. The other members of the counsel even convinced one of his best friends to kill him.
