Debate........Samurais are the best

Knights and samurais are fairly similar. However, when you compare them closely, you will see that the samurais are much more important in the Japanese society than knights in the middle ages. While samurais brought peace, knights brought trouble. Samurais were needed as protection and whenever they are around, people will feel safe.

Their code of honor are diferent in many ways. Samurais follow a code of honor called bushido. According to Bushido, samurai were generous, fearless in battle, and loyal to their daimyo or lord. Samurais were religious. They practiced ancient Shintoism as well as form od Buddhism called Zen. Women could become samurai and fight along their husband. Samurai lives did not just evolve around loyalty, bravery, and honor but alos poetry, flower arranging, and etiquette. Samurais were fearsome warriors and vowed to fight for their lord even if they could not protect their family. Their lord was the one who gave them land and the samurai owe them a lot for giving his family a place to live. If the lord didn't give them land, then they probably won't have a good place to live. Dying an honorable death was more important than a long life to samurais.

The samurai mastered both the bow and arrow and sword but the knight were just either knights, foot soldiers, or archers. the samurai started their training at 3 and knights started when they were about 10. So the samurai needed more time to practice becoming a samurai because samurai needed to be strong. Well I think the knight didn't need much time because maybe they just specialized in one thing. The knights had heavy armor so it was harder for them to move than samurais because the armor for samurai were light. The samurai didn't need to worry about not having a strong armor because they can rely on their skills. In my opinion, i think samurai are better because they were really loyal to their lord that they would give up their life just to protect their lord.

Samurai are important in Japan because they are the ones who give protection to the people and they are generous to the poor.
