MoNgOL rULe: Good or Bad?

I believe the Mongol rule was good, rather than bad for China. It contributed to the economic, political, and technological aspects of the empire. When the Mongols added China to their vast empire, they made the journey from east to west, or through Asia to China, safe for merchants, traders, explorers and dignitaries. This raised the demand for Chinese products in the West and expanded trade. I believe this was a good thing because the economy went up and and China began to prosper. Also, many more people became artisans as and effect of this. Seeing that the next time after Mongol rule that a person could travel freely on land to China would be in the 1900s, I'd say that the Mongols achieves a great thing for China. When the Mongols rulers such as Kublai Khan opened the Chinese borders, they made a strategic move of inviting Western Explorers such as Marco Polo to China. This helped spread Chinese influence onto the rest of the world. Without the Mongols, it would have taken many more centuries of researching and studying until the Chinese invented items like gunpowder and the compass, which would reach Europe. All in all, I think that the Mongol rule in China had a very positive effect on the Chinese Empire.
