Roman Empire
I learned that Julius Caesar was killed by the Roman Senate because they thought he would have too much power. So his adopted son Octavian was the new ruler of Rome. He changed his name to Augustus and brought Rome to a Pax Romana which means Roman peace.

Very interesting. Julius Caesar was killed by his own senate. The senate must have hated him a lot to kill their own ruler in his own court.

nice post. it's really interesting that he was killed by the senate, and even one of his closest friends, Brutus, was involved in the assassination. nice picture, by the way. But.. don't you think... its a bit.. gory?
