FIELDTRIP!! ^-^

In Europe, you can visit the Leptis Magna where it was built with limestone and preserved by the sand that buried this site. Columns and gorgon heads decorate the hall. Septimus's victories are carved into the pillars. Behind this forum is a church that the emperor Justinian had built in the sixth century. Before Justinian had built the church, the room had been a law court. A nearby market area is in two octagonal halls where merchants sold their items. The halls are lightened with some marble illustrating toy town merchant ships, griffins and rare, colorful fish. The baths were created AD 127 by Emperor Hadrian. Marble, mosaics and statues furnished these halls. Aqueducts were built to bring in hundreds of liters of water an hour. The entrance hall leads to the cold room, where statues to lined the walls. After, comes the warm room, the hot room, and, the sweat baths. External furnaces heated the water. There were also changing rooms and latrines. Next, you could also visit the Villa Sileen which had been buried under sand. It was a family home, full of mosaics. The Roman family that had lived here had a view overlooking the sea. The floors are decorated with human figures and everyday life in blue and pink. Finally, you can visit the Vercovicium Fort which is closely connected with the Hadrian's wall. The fort is shaped like a rectangle with rounded edges. Barracks, an infirmary, a bathhouse, and a storage room are found inside. Soldiers guarded the wall which extended to both sides of the island.

This is a bird's eye view of the Villa Sileen.
