Phenomenon of Rome

Rome is a wonderful city to visit. There is the architecture to sight-see and plenty of more things to do. The art of Rome generates the architecture of Rome. For example, the Colosseum or religious buildings, the Pantheon or Hagia Sophia. If you were to walk across the street, beware...ROMANS DRIVE CRAZY!!! You take your life crossing on the street into your hands. Its just how Rome is...BEWARE!!! Some of Rome's diet is similar to ours, such as grain, cheese, hardly any meat and fish, and lots and lots of vegetables. Their recipes include Laganon and Ancient Pesto. Laganon was the ancient version of pasta, made from wheat flour mixed to a dough with water. However, unlike modern pasta, it was fried and not boiled and used to scoop up the vegetable sauce commonly served with it. Ancient Pesto is a sauce made with ground pine nuts, hazelnuts or almonds, mixed with oil, peppered vinegar and cheese, with thyme, oregano or savory. Rome had two political factors: the Populares and the Optimates. The Populares is composed of Senators and nobles. Today, we might call this faction "left-wing." The Optimates promoted conservative policies that supported the interests of the wealthy and the old noble families. Today, we might call this faction “right-wing.” Roman currency is a bit complicated, these include Denari, Sestertii, and As. So, if you were to visit Rome, here are some of the aspects and things you can expect there.
