-Insert Creative Title Here-

The Harlem renaissance and the European renaissance are similar yet different because it was a time after the dark ages. The two places both thrived in writting and in creativity. The harlem renaissance occured in 1919 to 1933 and the Italian renaissance that later lead or spread through all Europe began in 1300-1600. Harlem is recognized from its great music. This includes Jazz and Blues. In the 1900s Jazz was introduced and had a greater impact than the Blues. The Harlem Renaissance was a celebration of African-American heritage expressed through an out pouring of art, literature, music and dance. The Savoy Ballroom, on Lenox Avenue, was a renowned venue for swing dancing, and was immortalized in a popular song of the era, Stompin’ At The Savoy. The major Italian cities became the center of the Renaissance and people from all over migrated to the new urban cities because of their great wealth. It is very different and alike in many ways.
