Harlem Renaissance

Believe it or not Harlem had a Renaissance period just like Europe. Began in Harlem, New York after World War I and ended around 1935. Just like EUROPE, HARLEM went through a period were Music, art work, and learning changed. For Europe middle class started to go to school again and in Harlems sence schools became over crowded because of the free education. Also Europe and Harlem had new painters sprouting up. These painters were ones like da Vinci, Michelangelo, and raphael. From the harlem side they had Palmer C. Hayden, Malvin Gray Johnson, and Laura Wheeler Waring were a few to name that were famous.
