Harlem Renaissance

The Harlem Renaissance was known as the New Negro Movement. It was a literary, artistic, cultural, intellectual movement that affected and helped lives of many African Americans. This Harlem Renaissance was very similar and different compared to the European Renaissance. Both Renaissances consisted of art, paintings, and literature. Also both the Harlem and European Renaissances emerged after a dark age. This is how they are similar.

The Harlem and European Renaissances are not just similar, but also different. The Harlem Renaissance helped many African Americans while the European Renaissance helped everyone. Also the European Renaissance was caused by a plague and the Hundred Years' War, but the Harlem Renaissance was caused by a different idea. So this is how they are different.

As Harrison states in his blog, the Harlem Renaissance was "triggered by racism." Nice comparison and contrast, but maybe add some detail on the subjects? AND! Pictures are too big.
