MY colorful paragraphs

MY COLORFUL PARAGRAPHS By: BRYANT FORSTER

Would you rather get hit by a horse’s tail or spit on by a camel. These are some differences Rome and Islam have. You will see the political, Economical, and Technological parts of these very powerful empires.

Some political differences; Islamic started off as being Followers to Mohammad (pg99) where Romans believed in Christianity, but had emperors to guide them (pg49 and 70) not religious icons. Emperors ruled in non religious ways where Mohammad guided Islamic in religious ways. They were similar because they both had people that came to rule after the original ruler died. For Rome it was a sibling where as for the Islamic people it was the person closest to Mohammad. In Islam people had to worship the 5 pillars and the would worship each puillar at a set time in the day. I dont think Islamic people would be able to survive without their religion were as Rome could survive without a religion because they had a stable government.

Romes ecomomy was very good. They had the tiber river as a way to produce trade because the river linkedto the ocean which then they could trade with other countries.( pg47) Islam created trade byexpanding and conquering lands. Rome seemed to have it easyer to trade becauseof the tiber river and oceans were close by. Now if you where trying to trade with islam you would have to take a long juerney to mekka. All in alln it seemed like islam had to rely more on there creations to survive.

Some technological symilarities they share are there architecture that contains domes (pg69&119 picture). There also different because Islam used domes for palices and religius buildings where rome used domes to beautify Rome. Islam's distillary and romes roads helped produce trade. Both empires had public baths were there people could socialize and communicate with each other. Rome had created water ways that would bring water to the city were the islamic people had to use buckets to bring water to the city. Islam had also created a torpeado that could blow ships out of the water. Tthe facts i've shown show that Rome put alot of time and effort into making the city life easyer and more live able. Even though Rome had a very good army Islam put alot of time and effort into scientific exparements and better war weaponds.

As you've seen the roman and islamic empires have many similarities even though there in completely different countries. Even with all these similarities there are there are many differencesin these empires through the categories of Political, Economical, and Technological.
