THE GREATES BATTLE OF ALL ANCIENT TIMES!

There are many similarities and differences between the Roman Empire and the Arabian world. They differ in the political category by the way they lead and how they governed the people. Also, by the way that they settled in their environment. Tough they were different, they were also similar. For example, they had the same point of view in their religion.

Both worlds were different the way that they kept govern of their people such as in the way that the leaders took control. Romans established a government known as a republic (pg.48) while Muhummad was trying to take control of the people and convert them. Romans wanted to be safer by having a code of laws and so they will be good citizens and less crime. The Arabians were mostly living freely except for the people that followed the teachings of Muhummad. Romans and Arabians both governed in the way they choose to and have different perspectives.

Also, Arabians settled so differently from the people of Rome. Nomads were always on the go because of the harsh weather conditions (pg.86), Romans just bought a house and that’s were they lived. Nomads were always traveling from place to place because of their lack of food and water and they searched for an oasis. This is one reason that trade was important to the nomads in order for them to survive. Nomads had to travel because they lived in a desert area.
Finally, Their religions were similiar in many ways despite that they had diffrent gods. Romans were catholic and the Arabians were Islams. They both believed in only one god and the people helped spread their word(pg.51). An example of their similarities is,Christians had the ten commandments and the Islams had the five pillars (pg.95).They both had a book that had all the gods teachings in them, Christians had the Bibble and Islams had the holy book known as the Qur'an. Even though the had diffrent gods, these two religions were similar in many ways.

In conclusion Rome and Arabia have many differences between themselves as well as similarities. But no matter what, both civilizations have their reason on why they ruled the way they did, how they settled in their enviroment, and the religion they praised.

Wow, Diego! I really like how you explained each of the areas you are comparing/contrasting at. I really liked your introduction and clonclusion. All the facts are great, too.
