ALSO, THE KINGS OF THE ISLAMIC WORLD WERE CALLED SULTONS. ROYALS LIVED VERY WELL, BUT OTHERS WERE VERY POOR. I ALSO LEARNED THAT SULTONS WERE VERY VERY PROTECTIVE OF THEIR SONS OR DAUGHTERS AND NEVER ALLOWED THEM TO LEAVE THE PALACE...

Nice picture! The wealthy and the commoners comment is probably true. We dont' know for sure about the protective sultans but if you think about it logically, all sultans were most likely Jasmine's father. You can think of it this way because of the, as we saw in the movie, busy marketplaces, maybe even thiefs and such roaming around...
