The Stereotypes of Aladdin

As you all know, many of the Disney animated movies are for kids. However, there is a deep, dark, and very revealing stereotypical features put into the depths of this movie...

What they hide in the movie is what they want children growing up to think what one thing has the stereotypes of another. Now, I will unveil what has been what Disney does not want you to know about! Muhahahaha!

There are cultures embedded into the minds of young children to think wrongly of a kind of race, religion, or place. Anyhow, that's what Disney wants you to think of, unknowingly. Taking for instance, the movie, Aladdin, it takes in what is thought to be of Islamic people. For every person near that area, they show that every person holds swords, whether it is hidden beneath their garments, or in hand, as the "Islamic" guards always hold. Additionally, they think that all Islamic people wear some kind of hat all the time. Aladdin also includes that you can obtain 3 wishes if you obtain a magical lamp, and always believes that there are always genies in these magical lamps. Also, they imply that Islamic advisors are always greedy for something. In even more of a prospective, it also gives an opinion that Islamic people have very unusual pets.
Now that I have revealed the stereotypical insights of one of the Disney movies, Aladdin, I have made you very aware of the cultural opinions of Disney movies. Well, have fun!

Matthew that does sound evil. anyway, for ur example that guards have swords with them, well, why wouldnt they? they see some dude with a sword storming the palace, u think those guards would use their fists to run up and get cut to pieces? NO!those swords are neccessary. Also that "hat" is a turban, most likely for religious purposes, like how jewish ppl have those caps.Additionaly, ant senseible person KNOWS that the genie is just a myth and legend. Also, the evil guy didnt neccessarily have to be the royal advisor, but i suppose u have a point. however if u study the world in a larger perspective, u will see that most positions of power want more power anyway. about the pets... the tiger goes to show that jasmine is rich, and Abu the monkey might be signifying that aladin himself is clever and nimble. that aside u have a point for the pets, but they are not exactly "strange" perhaps to the islamic people.

Augustine, in the movie, the merchants also carried swords, too, in a stereotypical sense that it was to protect their own stall from being stolen, just as Aladdin Jasmine took directly from the stall. For the hat, Jafar didn't wear a turban, neither did Abubu, who wore a small cap. For the pets, maybe they may not be as strange for Islamic people in the movie, be it is a stereotype, so people in the real world would think it to be very strange to have tigers or monkeys as pets.

to Matthew H.: well since u insist to "debate"(to those confused: this small bit of a debate was spoken verbally, not found within this blog.)u have a point with jafar, but we must keep in mind that this is a movie, perhaps to signify that jafar is different, the bad guy??? that might be the purpose for that. and abubu is is MONKEY!!! the monkey only knows steal food, not religion. if u bring up how aladdin didnt have one either, keep in minds he is poor. i also think u used the stereotype(or some form of it) in an awkward and plausibly wrong way. for example, the bit about how the shoplkeepers have swords too, well lets say someone tries to rob a store in the US. some storeowners around here really do have some sort of small gun in that situation. i cant exactly say what state what store but i can tell u they have em.i apologize for the long comments so i will say i concede defeat about the pets, ( tho i just thought i was just commenting, u kno freedom of speech not debate)
