Roman Culture

The Roman Colosseum attracts many tourists. The colosseum is one of Rome's famous building. The capacity of the colosseum is 45,000 to 55,000 people. Inside the colosseum during the ancient times gladiators would fight to the death. The first gladiators were slaves. Convicts were also sent to fight in the colosseum. Successful gladiators were treated as if they were celebrities. The most famous gladiator was Spartacus who was a rebellion of the slaves. The colosseum took less than 10 years to build. The Roman colosseum is still visted by many people today.
